About Us

At Haus of 86 we specialise in the Toyota 86 and Subaru BRZ builds.
From maintenance to full performance upgrades, we focus on precision, craftsmanship, and helping you create the car you’ve always wanted.

Where It Started

Our journey in the automotive world takes us back to 2011, when I started my apprenticeship with Mazda.

During those early years I owned my first project cars — a Series 2 RX-7 and later an AE86.

In 2012, the new Toyota 86 hit the market — a car that brought that same lightweight, rear-wheel-drive excitement I fell in love with in the AE86.

Experience Through the Years

Over the years I’ve built and worked on a range of JDM and performance cars — learning what works, what doesn’t, and how to make them drive the way they should.

Some of the builds that shaped my skills:

  • RX-7 and AE86 — where it all started.
  • R33 Skyline drift car — where I learned most of my fabrication and modification work.
  • BF Falcon street drift car — complete engine and car, built to 427kw/573hp.
  • S13 — turbo engine conversion.
  • 350Z — street/drift build.
  • Mazda MPS — full engine rebuild from the ground up.

Each build taught me something different — from engine internals and wiring to custom fabrication and drivability.

The 86 Platform

After four years at Mazda, I joined Toyota in 2015, where I started gaining hands-on experience with the 86 platform.

It wasn’t until 2023 that I bought my first 86 and then a second — and everything clicked.

The balance, the way it drives, the potential for tuning and improvement — it reminded me of what I loved about the AE86, but evolved.

From that moment, I knew I wanted to focus entirely on this platform — to build, tune, and refine it for others who love it the same way I do.

What Haus of 86 Is About

Haus of 86 exists to bring together everything I’ve learned — years of dealership experience, countless builds, and a genuine passion for the craft — into one place dedicated to the Toyota 86 and Subaru BRZ community.

From maintenance and fabrication to performance upgrades and custom builds, my goal is to help drivers get the most out of their cars — whether that means more reliability, better feel, or the build they’ve always imagined.

"Built by enthusiast, for enthusiast."
